OFDMA

Wi-Fi 6+ subdivides channels for many small simultaneous transmissions.

Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) splits each Wi-Fi channel into smaller resource units that can serve different clients in parallel. Where pre-Wi-Fi-6 networks gave 100% of a channel to one client at a time, OFDMA gives 25% to four clients simultaneously. Latency drops dramatically in dense networks — exactly when your apartment building's Wi-Fi feels worst.
