Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) is NVIDIA's AI upscaling technology. It renders games at a lower internal resolution and uses a trained neural network running on Tensor Cores to reconstruct the image at the output resolution — often indistinguishable from native. DLSS 4 (Blackwell, 2025) adds Multi-Frame Generation, which inserts up to three AI-generated frames between every real rendered frame.
