VRR

Variable Refresh Rate — adaptive sync over HDMI.

Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) lets a display match its refresh rate to the source's framerate in real time, eliminating tearing and judder. HDMI 2.1 standardized VRR (40-120 Hz on consumer TVs); FreeSync (AMD) and G-Sync (NVIDIA) are the matching desktop standards. Required for tear-free 120 Hz gaming on PS5, Xbox Series X, and modern PCs.
