LDAC
Sony's high-bitrate Bluetooth codec — up to 990 kbps.
LDAC, developed by Sony and now in AOSP, transmits Bluetooth audio at up to 990 kbps — roughly 3x SBC. Quality is the closest Bluetooth gets to wired CD audio. The catch: bandwidth is shared with the radio link, so 990 kbps mode requires line-of-sight and a stable connection — it auto-drops to 660 or 330 kbps when interference rises. iOS doesn't support LDAC; it's an Android/Sony-ecosystem feature.
